What We Did on Our Holiday opens in UK theatres
The new family comedy "What We Did on Our Holiday" from 'Outnumbered' writers Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin opens in UK theatres this weekend starring Billy Connolly, David Tennant and Rosamund Pike. The Daily Star says "What We Did On Our Holiday is British comedy at its best", The Guardian writes "It’s impossible not to enjoy this big-hearted and sweet-natured British family movie" and Sky Movies calls it "one of the finest British comedies in years".

Alex is nominated for 2 Gold Spirit Awards
Alex has been nominated as Best European Composer in the 2014 Gold Spirit Awards. His score to Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom has also been nominated in the Best European Score category. Alex Receives Golden Globe Nomination for Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom
Alex has received a Golden Globe nomination for his score to Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. The 71st Golden Globe Award nominations were announced on December 12th in Los Angeles by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Also nominated were Idris Elba for best actor in a motion picture for his portrayal of Nelson Mandela and U2 for 'Ordinary Love' in the best original song category.

President Obama Hosts Screening of ‘Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom’ at White House
President Barack Obama hosts a White House screening of “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom,” with a small gathering that included Mandela’s daughters, Zindzi and Zenani. Also in attendance was the movie’s star Idris Elba, director Justin Chadwick, producer Anant Singh and actress Naomie Harris, who plays Mandela’s wife, along with Harvey Weinstein and Georgina Chapman.

The screening at the White House was followed by a historic screening in Washington D.C. at the Kennedy Centre hosted by Hillary Clinton, Sen. John McCain and Gen. Colin Powell.
