Universal releases Alex's score for Stephen Frears' The Program

The original soundtrack album to Stephen Frears' biopic of Lance Armstrong is released this week by Universal records. The album features 16 tracks from Alex's score.

Soundtrack album released for PALIO

The original soundtrack album of Alex's score to Cosima Spender's film PALIO is now available on iTunes. The film is in cinemas now. The Independent says "for sheer spectacle, her film stands comparison with anything in the Bond movie."

Alex invited to become a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Alex is among one of this year's artists and executives who have distinguished themselves by their contributions to theatrical motion pictures and are invited to become members of AMPAS. Alex joins Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman , Rosamund Pike, Joe Wright, Dave Grusin, Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross among other distingiushed invitees. “It’s gratifying to acknowledge the extraordinary range of talent in our industry,” said Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs.

Scoring completed on Stephen Frears' biopic of Lance Armstrong - The Program

Alex has completed scoring Stephen Frears' upcoming biopic of Lance Armstrong THE PROGRAM. The film, which follows the extraordinary rise and fall of the iconic sportsman, stars Ben Foster (X-Men: The Last Stand, Lone Survivor ), Lee Pace and Dustin Hoffman. The score was recorded and mixed at Abbey Road and features percussion made entirely from bicycle parts! The film is set for release later this year.

Alex completes scoring of Peter Webber's 10 Billion

Alex has completed scoring Peter Webber's (Girl With a Pearl Earring, Emperor ) powerful feature documentary 10 BILLION. Adapted from Stephen Emmott's book and live show which went viral in 2013, it tells the disturbing story of where the world could be heading with a population of 10 Billion and the almost impossible decisions that need to be faced by us and our children. Important and very absorbing viewing.
